The other night while in that state of floating off to sleep my eyes popped wide open.

YIKES!

I remembered the next morning I was to attend a brunch with friends and I had forgotten to make something to take.  Almost as a gift, wrapped in the most beautiful bow, a thought came to me.  If I took some frozen roll dough from the freezer and put it in the refrigerator the dough would be thawed by morning.

Cini-Minis were born.

servings

ingredients:

  • 12 frozen dough rolls

  • 6 T softened butter

  • cinnamon

  • sugar

directions:

  1. Roll out one piece of dough into a long thin oval.

  2. Spread a thin layer of butter and sprinkled brown sugar and cinnamon on it

  3. Roll it up lengthwise, trimmed the 'rough' ends off both sides and then cut it in half.

  4. Place on a baking sheet.

  5. Repeat that 12 times and let them rise about an hour and baked them for 20 minutes on 350. Frost with a little dollop of delicious cream cheese frosting or make a quick thin frosting and drizzle over them - which might be prettier.

also...

They were just perfect for a brunch with all women. Perfect tiny size.
